Welcome! We're glad you are here! My name is Jessica, or Pie Lady, I answer to both. I am the girl behind A Girl and a Pie Dish bakery. All of our treats are handmade by me! ​I started baking with my grandma at a very young age. The first pie I remember making together was a chocolate pudding pie in a graham cracker crust. BUT it was a coconut cream pie that really sparked an interest in me! Pies can be really great and really awful. I like the challenge of making really great pie in a buttery, flakey, homemade crust. ​

 

My love language is food! I show my love through baking and cooking. I find so much joy in creating delicious food to share with friends and family. Don't get me wrong, I love to eat, but there is nothing better than seeing a face light up as soon as a bite is taken. Food brings comfort, joy, sparks memories, and is best shared with friends and family. I want to create treats that make you smile, bring forth memories, and give you warm fuzzy feelings. That is why I bake, to spread love and joy! ​

 

I married the man of my dreams in 2014 and we're the parents of 2 crazy kiddos. I work in the mortgage industry by day and run this little home bakery in my "downtime". I have the most supportive and encouraging friends and family. But it's you, the customer, who keeps me running. Thank you for your support!!
